Earlier this month I have posted that I'm willing to learn the basics of the Unix system [] and I have ordered a book from to get me started. Well, the book arrived yesterday and it looks nice. I have skimmed through chapters to check my mood if I would go through this book or not and now I'm sure I will end it in a matter of days though hopefully I would come out with something good. The book is called ' Learning the UNIX Operating System' by Jerry Peek, Grace Todino-Gonguet and John Strang. It is published by and it's the fifth and latest edition of its series. With less than 160 pages of simple examples, explicated commands and a quick reference guide, this book offers more than what I could ask for.

Now I know this book won't make me a professional Unix user but at least it will enlighten me about a lot of things regarding my Mac and its applications, it also contains useful command lines and exercises to help with troubleshooting some of the common problems so it's all good.
